Do I need a website?
No. Carta works on its own: share your menu and booking link on Google, Instagram or WhatsApp. If you'd like your own website, we design it for you as an add-on, on any plan.
If we add a website, is it ours?
Yes. The domain is in your name (we pay the first year; after that it's about €10–15 a year), and the text, photos and menu are yours. If you leave, you take the whole site with you and we help you move it.
Do you charge a commission on orders or bookings?
No. You pay the plan's monthly fee and nothing else. Orders and bookings that come through your site go straight to your panel and your phone.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, on every plan. For 30 days you use every feature of the plan you choose. We ask for a card when you start and charge nothing until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
We already have a website. Can we use it?
Yes. Your menu, table orders and bookings plug into the site you have, with a button or a link.
How do I set it up?
In minutes, on your own. Your menu and QR code are ready the moment you sign up, and a few short emails walk you through adding your dishes and picking a template. Switch templates whenever you like. Need a hand? Ask on WhatsApp and we'll help. Want a menu made just for you? We design it to measure.
What languages does the menu speak?
Spanish and English are included free on every plan. The menu opens in the language set in the link, then the guest's saved choice, then their phone's language.
Is it easy to read for everyone?
Yes, on every plan. The text is large and follows the text size set on the guest's phone, the colours have strong contrast, and the menu works with screen readers.
Is there a minimum term?
No. Every plan is month to month and you can stop any time. If you add a website, that has a 12-month term with a €100 setup, or €300 and month to month.
Can we have our own design?
Yes. From the Menu plan you choose from several templates and we adapt them to your logo, colours and photos. On the Grow plan we design the menu to measure for your place: type, photos and the way dishes are presented.
How do I change the menu?
From the panel, on your phone or computer: prices, dishes, sold-out items, the daily specials board and opening hours. If you'd rather we do it, it's €25 + VAT per change.
Does it work with my till?
Carta isn't a till, so you keep yours. Most till systems can connect to it, and we set that up with you after a short consultation. If you need a new till, we can install one for you.
Can guests pay from the table?
No. "Ask for the bill" alerts your staff and you take payment as you do today.
Can we take deposits to stop no-shows?
Yes. You decide the policy, for example a deposit for groups or busy nights, and we set it up for your bookings.
Is an allergen menu required?
EU rules require the information on the 14 allergens in each dish to be available to customers (Regulation (EU) 1169/2011). In the digital menu it's marked dish by dish and you change it from your phone. For specific questions, check with your adviser.
Do you reward referrals?
Yes. A free month for every business you refer that subscribes, up to 12 a year. The month is yours when their first invoice is paid.
What does launch price mean?
The first 10 places pay €15 a month for Carta and €39 for Grow for as long as they stay subscribed. After that, €29 and €49.
