China quality inspection
China quality inspection before your goods leave the factory.
We arrange a third-party inspector at the price they charge us plus a small fee, or check your goods ourselves by live video. You get a report with photos, so you decide whether to ship, fix or hold the order.
Who it is for.
- You have placed an order and want evidence before you pay the balance.
- A previous batch did not match the sample.
- Your order is too small for a trip to the factory.
- You need a record in case of a dispute.
What you get.
Third-party inspection
A professional inspector visits the factory, checks a random sample of your order and reports with photos. We book it and pass on the invoice at cost plus €25.
Video inspection
A live video session where we go through cartons and units against your specification and purchase order. €90.
A checklist from your spec
We turn your drawings, samples and purchase order into a list the inspector or we can tick off.
A written report
Photos, measurements, the defects found against the agreed limit, and our recommendation to release, fix or hold the goods.
Staged checks
Before production, during production and before shipping. You choose how many stages the order justifies.
Remedies agreed in advance
Thresholds, re-inspection cost and what happens when the limit is exceeded go into the purchase order with the factory.
When to inspect, and how much.
A good sample followed by a poor batch is the classic sourcing story. Inspection exists to catch it while the goods are still at the factory, when the factory can still fix them.
The usual staged approach is a check on materials before production, a check on a share of units during production (a 10% to 20% check is common), and a final check on a random sample before shipping against an agreed quality limit. Small first orders often only justify the final check.
Third-party inspectors charge per man-day. Published market rates run roughly $200 to $350 a day, with one inspection company listing $268 a day for main industrial areas and factory audits at around $398. Those are examples, and quotes vary by city and product. We pass the invoice on at cost, add €25 for booking and coordinating, and show you the receipt.
Our video inspection at €90 suits low-risk goods, small orders and re-checks, or when a visit is not worth the cost. It has limits. We can compare what we see to your spec, count and sample cartons, and check labelling and packaging. We cannot run laboratory tests or see what is inside a sealed unit. For safety-critical products, use a physical inspection and a lab.

Questions.
How much does a China quality inspection cost?
A third-party inspector typically charges $200 to $350 per man-day. We pass that on at cost with the receipt and add €25. Our own video inspection is €90.
When should I inspect?
Before shipping at the very least. For larger or riskier orders, add a check during production. The goods are easiest to fix while still at the factory.
What is a quality limit?
It is an agreed number of defective units allowed in a random sample, written into the purchase order. If the sample exceeds it, the remedy you agreed applies: re-inspection, a discount or rejection.
Can you inspect goods I bought without you?
Yes. Send us the purchase order and specification and tell us the factory location. We arrange a third-party inspector or a video inspection.
Does inspection guarantee quality?
No. It samples the order and reports what it finds. It lowers the risk and gives you evidence if there is a dispute, but it cannot promise every unit is perfect.
