DIY means you build it yourself on a platform such as Wix, Squarespace or Shopify.
Extras

This is a rough estimate, not a quote. Market figures are in US dollars as the sources publish them, and OnePDA prices are in euros excluding VAT, so the two are not converted into each other. Everything is worked out in your browser, and nothing you choose is sent anywhere.

How to use the estimate.

Why the ranges are wide

Price depends mostly on who builds the site. A site builder costs a few hundred dollars and a lot of your own time. A freelancer is paid by the project or the hour. An agency adds a team for design, writing and project management. The word “website” covers very different jobs, so two quotes only compare when they list the same pages, rounds of changes and exclusions.

The ranges here come from different builders, countries and scopes. None of them is a quote. A freelancer with a clear brief can come in below a band, and a project with many integrations can sit above it.

What the calculator leaves out

It does not know your design, your content or your integrations. Photos, video, custom features, paid plugins and ad spend vary too much to estimate here. The published guides give no figures for most extras, so the breakdown says so instead of guessing. Treat the result as a rough estimate, then ask two or three builders for written quotes.

What to ask in any quote

  • Which pages are included, and what an extra page costs.
  • How many rounds of changes you get.
  • Who owns the domain, the hosting account and the files.
  • What you will pay in month 13.

Our guides go into each type in detail: small business website cost in 2026, what a Shopify website costs and how much a landing page costs. If you would rather see fixed prices for a small business site, read our page on website design for small business. Photos, video, logo design and ad spend are not part of the packages, and you get a fixed price before we start.

Where these numbers come from.

Every market figure is a published range, reused from our cost guides (updated 25 October 2026). Most sources are written by builders and agencies, so they have a commercial interest. Use them as benchmarks.
